At the beginning of 1995, the town of Canyon Ridge had 1,700 residents. The rate of population growth after that was 6% per year. Estimate the population at the beginning of 2005. a. about 102 residents b. about 3,044 residents c. about 3,502 residents d. about 1,802 residents
@mathstudent55
Remember pe^(rt) So just plug in the principle (starting) ammoun, the rate of growth and the time (in years)
can you please help me, and explain because I don't have very long to solve this. :(
I need the answer help more please. Guide me through this! :(
This is just a plug in chug. You have the exponential growth formula pe^(rt) p = principle amount or starting amount r = rate of growth (interest if talking money) and t in the time period, generally in years. So what do you think p,r, and t are in this question?
p = 1,700 r = 6% t = 1995
the t you are going to be using is the final year - initial year or 10. Now just plug that in.
how do i plug it in whats the formula?
pe^(rt)
pe?
1700^(6% x 1995)
I have 5 minutes left to answer this!!
