it's finding the Lowest Common Denominator of a fraction. I think I use the highest degree of each variable and the gcf of the coefficient?

Reduce each coefficient into prime numbers, and then simply make sure that each one has the same exact primes and same number of exponents for x and y. For instance, 50x^5y = (2)(5^2)x^5y
