OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

What is 1/3 + 2/3 = ?

OpenStudy (help!!!!):

1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Yes, exactly 1, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the fraction is exactly 1, yes

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

1/3 = 0.333...

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

2/3 = 0.666...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but those are decimals. if the original question is in fractions, then the answer should be in a fraction too, unless it turns out to be a whole number, which in this case it is.... 1 (1/3)+(2/3)=(3/3)..... or 1
