I think it has something to do with adding setting the 2 equations equal to each other and solving for x or something.

all sides of a square are congruent or equal, so

RS = QT

12x+5 = 8x+15

...

...

x = ??

once you find x, you can use it to find the length of the side of the square (which will lead you to the length of QR)
