(2x+5y)squared how do you do this? i forgot

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

if you are trying to factor this, then it would be written out as (2x+5y)(2x+5y) because that would be how you would square that expression.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay but how do i solve it? like its asking me to multiply?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

well if the expression doesn't equal anything, it might be best to right it in notation 4x^2+10xy+10xy+25y^2

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

this would simplify into 29x^2+20xy. There!

thank you soo much (: that really helpedd!
