6y=32-x 3x+6y=42

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use elimination or substitution method

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Luigi0210

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk how to do it.......or i cant figure it out thats wat i need help with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[6y=32-x...............(1)\] \[3x+6y=42..................(2)\] substituting equation 1 into equation 2 we have 3x+32-x=42 =3x-x=42-32 =2x=10 therefore x=5 find for the value of y by substituting the value of x in either equations

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Yea, use substitution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ lol54arino are you done

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

I don't follow your work @hassannoor0480

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah meh either i wrote it on paper and didnt understand it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

luigi whats wrong with that, if you haven't ask plz instead of misleadingothers

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Uhm, what? Could you work on your English too :l

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Jamierox4ev3r can u help me??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then whats wrong, are you interested in English or solution to problem

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

yeah totes can i have some popcorn? lol jk

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

6y=32-x 3x+6y=42

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Sorry not trying to be mean >.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahah yeah *hands popcorn* hahah

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

6y=32-x -32 -32 -x=6y-32 x=-6y+32

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

then you use substitution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im srry thats -4x on the top srry

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Thank you Miss Jamie >.>

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

wait so its 6y=32-4x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah sorry

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

ugh you push my patience lol kidding ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i said srry jezzzzz ;) lol

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

6y=32-4x -32 -32 -4x=6y-32 x=-2/3y+8

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

you just had to complicate it didn'tcha? tsk tsp

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

3(-2/3y+8)+6y=42 -2y+24+6y=42 4y+24=42 -24 -24 4y=18 y=4.5

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

then, you solve for x

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

6(4.5)=32-4x 27=32-4x -32 -32 -5=-4x x=5/4

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

your final answer (plz don't be asleep) is y=9/2 and x=5/4

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

okay i am so out i don't even want a metal I'm done with u people forever. Goodbye! >.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all righty lol and i never sleep :) lol jkjk

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

GIVE ME A MEDAL I LIED AND I WANT ONE :((((((

OpenStudy (anonymous):

congrats :)

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

YAY OKAY NOW IM LIKE HYPER JUST LEAVE ME ALONE :( :) IDK I THINK ITS PMS :S

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

yeah i think im dying goodbye

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats very misleading, ok check for the values of x=5/4, y=9/2 in the equation 6y=32-4x, i need an answer for this please guys @lol54arino,luigo,jamierox4ev3r

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-10,12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer it told meh tat it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nop thats not correct ok check mine also x=5 y=4.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o okaii

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which is which now? if am wrong correct me plz, and tell me where i went wrong also
