Every segment has a perpendicular bisector. True or False

OpenStudy (anonymous):

False. Every segment has only one midpoint, but there are an infinite number of things (other segments, lines, rays, etc) that go through that midpoint and can be called a bisector. Now if you mean perpendicular bisector, that narrows it down but you could still be talking about a line or another segment. SO I say false.

thank you very much

OpenStudy (phi):

if you are given a line segment, could you construct its perpendicular bisector ? the answer is yes. which means a line segment has a perpendicular bisector. Every segment has a perpendicular bisector. is true

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I agree with phi.....answer is true
