Helpppp! Find the sum of the arithmetic sequence. -4, -1, 2, 5, 8, 11, 14

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

when you say find the sum, do you mean find what all the numbers in this sequence add up to or the next number in the sequence

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Next number in sequence:17 sum: 35

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

do either of these numbers make sense to you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah they do in a way, my teacher makes no sense so Im trying to learn this on my own

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

great because if you look at the arithmetic sequence, the rule is that you add 3 every time, and I got the sum from adding all the numbers together.

i have another practice problem similar to this, can I show you on this post or make another?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

make another post to avoid confusion
