hint : Pythagorean theory

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BD = BE + ED Find BE by applying pythagorean theorem to triangle BEC and find ED by applying pythagorean theorem to EDC. Also know that triangles BEA and BEC are congruent and triangles EDC and EDA are also congruent, which means that they have the same side lengths. @chicagoblkhaks

EB= (13^2 -5^2)^(1/2) =12 ED =(41-25)^(1/2) (means square root) =4 BD =16
