Please help ill give a medal (: I'll post the question below (:

OpenStudy (emilyjones284):

Find the value of y for the given value of x \[y= 15+3 \ln x; x=7.2\]

OpenStudy (emilyjones284):

round to the nearest hundredth.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the idea is to replace every copy of x with 7.2 (since x = 7.2), then evaluate with a calculator \[y= 15+3 \ln(x)\] \[y= 15+3*1.97408\] \[y= 15+5.92224\] \[y= 20.92224\] \[y= 20.92\]

OpenStudy (emilyjones284):

Thank you! (:

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're welcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Insert this equation into wolframalpha.com: \[y=15+3\ln(7.2)\] and it will calculate the value of y.

OpenStudy (emilyjones284):

Oh okay thank you (:
