−9 × (−8)
always remember that:- \[\large negative \times negative= positive\]
so can you solve it? @sandy1234
ok
what is the answer??
i'm having a little trouble, i am bad at this stuff
ok... i will help you
LUL 9 x 10 = 90 9 x 2 = 18 90 - 18 = 90 - 20 + 2 negative x negative = positive
\[\huge -ve \times -ve=+ve\] \[\huge so, -9 \times (-8)=+72\]
understood or not? @sandy1234
i understand thanx
welcome :)
we are suppose to make math easier for them to understand, not make it more complicated :D
why -x- = +
it is about the direction in the number line
This is a regular multiplication problem just with some negatives added to it! So do 9 x 8. Then since negative x negative = positive, the final answer would be positive. Good luck, remember practice makes perfect!
we can say that if negative goes to the left multiplying it by another negative would be going to the right in grammar it works the same
negative goes to left, multiplying it by another positive keeps it going left
nice :) i was thinking in terms of money owed lol, it gets complex wid money analogy i guess
2 x 3 means |dw:1373699049359:dw|
