4z-12

geerky42 (geerky42):

What to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need to solve for z

geerky42 (geerky42):

it cannot be solved since we don't know what it equals to.

geerky42 (geerky42):

4z-12=???

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

That means that this expression should equal 0 to solve for z then? if so.. 4z-12=0 Add 12 to both sides 4z-12=0 +12 +12 ----------- 4z=12 Divide by 4 on both sides 4z=12 4z/4=12/4 z=3 ??? Not sure if that's what the question means to be, but @geerky42 is correct, this can not be solved it is an EXPRESSION. Not EQUATION.

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

is it supposed to be 4z=-12?
