how to consider a partial fraction type like integrand having for numerator dx only, how to handle this dx, espacially if the power of the denominator is > than that of numerator(dx).thanks

OpenStudy (jack1):

... could u maybe type an equation as an example dude...?

Can you give us a question for which you have to use partial fraction decomposition to evaluate the integral? @engineermoh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be easier to show you how it works then.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mehod 1 divide the numerator by the denominator and then apply the partial fraction technique on the remaider over the denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

method2 suppose the power of the numerator is greater than that of the denominator by 2 say then express numerator as numerator = A x^2(denominator)+Bx(denominator)+C(denominator) +D(diif. of the denominator ) +E , where A,B,C ,D,E are constant which is to be found out..

by the way depending on the question stated these may change as some substitution technique will be helpfull

thanks matricked ,It was helpful!
