Do you mean grade questions?
I'd rather grade answers to determine the reliability of the helper's answers. But that should only be available for the asker of the question to prevent abuse.

I think medals are good enough.
Medals, in a way, are like getting points.
They are counted like points, anyone can give them and you just click "Best Response" to award them.
