How do I solve x^3 - 7x^2 +12x using Descartes Rule of Signs? and using the Factor Theorem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The factor theorem? lol what the hell is that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then do you know Descartes Rule of Signs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This project is asking me to solve using those two things

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll copy and paste the question: Find the solutions to this equation algebraically using the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra, the Rational Root Theorem, Descartes' Rule of Signs, and the Factor Theorem.

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

Never heard of the name 'Factor Theorem' but I do know how to do it. Too many names in math these days.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well thats what it asked me so thats why i'm using the term "factor theorem"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@GoldPhenoix could you help me solve it if you know how to do it?

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

Sorry, I have to go. =/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its alright
