What stage of cellular respiration does not involve any carbon-based compounds as a reactant or product? Electron transport chain Krebs cycle Glycolysis

OpenStudy (zale101):

what's your best choice?

OpenStudy (zale101):

i'll help you if your answer was wrong :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think B

OpenStudy (zale101):

Glycolsis equation: C6H12O6 + 2ATP ----> 2 pyruvate + 4 ATP + 2 H2O. Krebs Cycle equation: Acetyl-CoA + 3 NAD+ + FAD + GDP + Pi + 3 H2O ---> 3 NADH + FADH2 + CoA-SH + GTP + 3 CO2 Electron Transport chain equation: 2NADH + 2H+ + O2 -----> 2NAD+ + 2H2O now it's pretty obvious what's the answer

KERBS CYCLE THANK YU

OpenStudy (zale101):

no it's not :(

OpenStudy (zale101):

look at the krebds cycle equation, the output is Carbon dioxide (CO2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SO ITS A

OpenStudy (zale101):

yes :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANK YU

OpenStudy (zale101):

no problem
