Find the work needed to empty a cylindrical tank with radius 3 meters and length 10 meters if it is oriented sideways (i.e. the tanks is lying on its side) and is full of water up to 5 meters in depth only. The pump is located 1 meter above the top of the tank.

It's a work question. I don't think vectors are involved, but I'm quire certain integration is.

@agentjamesbond007 Since work is the magnitude of force acting on a body which causes it to displace a certain amount, we will need a force function here. After finding force function, the work will be given by:\[\bf Work=\int\limits_{a}^{b}F(x) \ dx\]Where b - a is the displacement.
