I'll draw it now

|dw:1373750047911:dw| I need to find the value of Z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What kind of triangle is this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It has a name when two angles are congruent the triangle is called a(n) ___________ triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Equilateral, right? I'm not sure it didn't say what triangle it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Close. It is not equilateral. If two angles are congruent then the sides opposite those angles are congruent and if two sides of a triangle are congruent we call this an i__________ triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isosceles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, what do I do now to find the value of Z?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since you now know this is an isosceles triangle, the sides opposite those congruent angles are the same length.... ie, 2z-15 = 9 just solve for z in the above equaton.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got z=12,
