Dynamic memory allocation by using pointers provides an efficient way of utilizing computer memory but such memory allocation may be problematic if not handled properly in program.” Please someone explain this to me..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

- Its 'memory efficient' because you can reserve and release memory only when you need it. - its problematic because you have to manage the memory yourself. i.e., you have to keep track of it in your program and remember to release it! You may also run into memory fragmentation issues. - if the memory management code isn't written properly, you can also lead yourself open to security issues, such as buffer overruns.
