Im new to physics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can someone teach me the basics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same for me

OpenStudy (jh3power):

hi.. but how can one possibly teach you the basics of the entire "physics" by a simple "comment"?

OpenStudy (jh3power):

It must take a long time. what do you mean by "basics"? and basics of what kind of chapters? Just mechanics? or..

OpenStudy (jh3power):

Well, to know the "basics" that quickly, i recommend that you read "The Cartoon Guide to Physics". There's not much in it, really.. it's definitely the "basics".

Start watching video lectures. I recommend to start learning physics from classical mechanics (OCW Scholar).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The basics have to be learnt from the books, so I recommend you guys do some readings.

Here , it's an IB level book , it covers the raw basics of physics with some pretty decent depth , soon as you feel comfortable start the OCW course from the beginning http://uploading.com/files/3e18dbab/0521708206Physics.rar/

You may read the course's suggested textbook "University Physics: with Modern Physics". It also covers basic thing ( college physics ). Its figure and explanation are clear than my college physics textbook.
