Your goal is to get x all by itself on one side of the equation. On the left side we can combine like terms since both terms have an x, we can simply add 3 and 5/7 to get the following: \[(26/7)x=1/3\]Now, you just need one more step to get x by itself, which would be to divide by 26/7 or multiply by 7/26. Do this to both sides to find your answer.
