Your blog probably allows HTML code to format text.
So text in <b></b> will be bold and text between <code></code> will be displayed in a code box.

This site doesn't allow HTML so created another way to make codeboxes work
Either type your text or code between `` `that will look like this`
Or type ``` and put your code on the next line
```
That will look like this :)

You would need a \(\LaTeX\) engine on your blog for it to work there.
