Questions about medal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. For ask question or ansur, if I got more than 5 medal, is it mean my medal will increase 5 med on my "medal received" ? 2. If not, How exactly "medal" point here work?

thomaster (thomaster):

When you get a medal, whether if it's for a question or an answer, your Medals Received counter will go up. When you get a medal for an answer from the asker of the question, your Medals for Answers counter at problem solving will go up. So only the medal from the asker counts. When you get a medal from the asker, your People Helped counter at teamwork will also go up, but this is only once per user. When you help the same user again, your Medals for Answers will still increase but not people helped. When you get a medal in your own question, your Medals for Asking counter at engagement will increase. Hope this helped :)

Thats why eventho got 10 med on a quest its not increase. omfg >.< Thanks :3

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

For score formula accounts for a lot more than what is on your profile screen. So don't worry that much about the medal count there.

ya, i ask this because I feel weird when lookin my med xD Thank you @e.mccormick :3

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yes, the numbers are odd seeming. They don't define it very well. Part of it seems to be that they do not want people to know how to game the medals system.

Thats not fair :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you should got 600+ med @e.mccormick

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

It is odd. I grant you that. 320 for answers... but 567 total. That would mean 247 for asking.... or the numbers are off. I am betting the numbers are off. Like the number of questions asked. It adds for both a main topic and a sub topic. So when you post in a sub topic, you get two rather than one question asked tags. I am betting there is a similar issue with medals.

same thing happened to me :(
