In a group of 32 pet owners, half are women and 20 are dog owners. If 8 women are not dog owners, how many of the dog owners are men?

The answer choices are... a.8 b.10 c.12 d.14 e.16

OpenStudy (blurbendy):

we have 16 men and 16 women 20 are dog owners, 12 own some other pet if 8 aren't dog owners, then 8 women own some other pet and 4 men own some other pet to equal 12. we had 16 men that were unknown, but we know 4 of them own some other pet so 16-4 = 12 we said there are 20 dog owners, and we know 8 of them are women, so 20 - 8 = 12 and we still have 12 men remaining, 12 men must be dog owners

make sense?
