what is .. 3 x(_ x 3)+(_x 4) and I cant seem to get the answer which is supposed to be 21.Please help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are the blanks suppose to be the same number or different numbers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let us assume that the blanks are suppose to be the same number let us denote the blanks as a variable "a" also the multiplication sign will be "*" rewriting the equation will look like 3 ( 3 *a)+ (4*a) = 21 from here, just solve for a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the blanks are 2 different numbers, then there would be infinite solutions and we would denote the first blank as variable "x" and the second blank as variable "y"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure it just says fill in the blanks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what kind of math is this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know its so weird. My friend just asked me it a second ago.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not weird im just wondering because i dont want to explain it in a way you would not understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the point is just filling in the blanks try randomly puttting an number for the first blank and solving for the 2nd blank
