Simplify using the vertical method. (3k + 4)(3k2 – 5k – 3) 9k3 + 27k2 – 11k – 12 9k3 – 3k2 + 11k – 12 9k3 + 29k2 – 3k – 12 9k3 – 3k2 – 29k – 12

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

9k^3-15k^2-9k 12k^2-20k-12 9k^3-3k^2+11k-12

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

you multiply 3k with everything in the second parentheses, giving you the top line of my process. THen, you multiply 4 with everything in the second parentheses, giving you the second line of my process. Combine like terms and you answer is 9k^3-3k^2+11k-12 (the second choice)

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Does that make sense @jenay
