What is the relationship between theoretical probability and experimental probability (think in terms of flipping a coin)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if your theoretical probability is correct, the more you do the experiment the closer the relative frequency will get to the actual probability for example, the more you flip a coin, the closer the proportion of the number of heads to the total number of flips will get to \(\frac{1}{2}\)

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

Are you expected to perform the experiment ? or do you have the experimental results given in the question?

thanks!
