the isolationist sentiment in the U.S after WW1 resulted in high tariffs. & for socialism - there wasnt a result it was just expressed by some important ppl.. For example, Eugene Debs, expressed the fundamental principle of socialism, stating that industry should be owned communualy rather than privately & that socialism would end poverty and put an end to the life-long struggle of the working class.
