OpenStudy (cherie_magee):

The first term of an arithmetic sequence is -5, and the tenth term is 13. Find the common difference.

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

When you have the first term, \(\large a_1\) and an nth term \(\large a_n\) The common difference \(\large d\) is given by \[\Large d = \frac{a_n-a_1}{n-1}\]

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

So, you just have n = 13, and the rest follows :P

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

WAIT NO!!!!

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Miss read it, I meant n = 10 whoops (since 13 is the tenth term)
