9. Write an equation of a line that passes through (9,-5) and (3,-5). Hint: To answer this question, first find the slope using these 2 points. 10. Write an equation of a line that passes through the points (2,3) and (2,-6). Hint: To answer this question, first find the slope using these 2 points.

9. y=-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it a horizontal line or a .zero slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need help with 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it will be both.. it has a slope of 0 and if graphed it will be a horizontal line through the point y=-5

This is the feedback my teacher gave me on number 10 On 10, what is the same in the two points? (x's are both 2) So the equation is x=?, vertical line, undefined slope. When you're dividing with slope, if the zero is UNDerneath, the slope is UNDefined. You need to write the equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes the slope for number 10 works out at -9/0, which means an undefined slope. And yes to find the equation we look at what is the same. For example in number 9 the -5 was the same, and so y=-5. So in 10: x=2
