Which of the following steps would be most effective for a local government to take to encourage water conservation? Institute a tax on purchases of bottled water Provide incentives for converting to low-water toilets Add a tax on all restaurants sales to cover water use Institute a program to remove grasses and ground cover

OpenStudy (primeralph):

Not A. Not C.....(that'll hurt @SomeGirl1999 , right?) D, will encourage leaching of water into the ground. Don't know how it applies here though. So, B or D?

OpenStudy (somegirl1999):

Shut up -.- No it didn't.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, C and D don't directly encourage water conservation, so I think you can eliminate those.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(If you introduce a tax for all restaurants regardless of how much water they use individually, you're not encouraging them to use less)

OpenStudy (primeralph):

@stormgirl47 Yeah, that'll just cause a lot of buttgurt.

OpenStudy (primeralph):

*butthurt.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, @SwampKing_ I agree that B would make sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha @primeralph I was a bit confused for a minute there ... like, buttgurt? What the heck is that? ;)

OpenStudy (primeralph):

A butt and a yogurt.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Eww

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyway, I think your instinct is right, @SwampKing_ :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks c:
