In order to use the elimination method, I would multiply 7 on the first equation and 8 to the second equation and make the coefficients of x equal to 56. After that, I would subtract equation #2 from equation #1, eliminating the x. By doing so, we will only have y in our equation, enabling us to solve the value for y. After doing so, we can substitute the value of y into the first equation, hence finding the value for x.
