need help with test pls

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. For the data in the table, does y vary directly with x? If it does, write an equation for the direct variation. yes; y = 2.75xyes; y = 0.6875xyes; y = 1.375xno; y does not vary directly with x

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

Don't ask for answers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i cant fail it again

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

We can not see the table as it is.

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

Take a printscreen of the question.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

is this a test question? or is this a question for preparing for a test?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

review

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

It is a test question. I told him we could not do it FOR him.

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

This is not a review question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (amistre64):

reviews are fine then ... or at least thats the better answer of the two :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

test review

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good luck

OpenStudy (snuggielad):

Go ahead and take the wheel @amistre64

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so this is a review right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thats what i said i just cant fail

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no; y does not vary directly with x As you can see.....y=2x, y=4x and y=8x are not true from the table.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait no!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me for a bit or are you busy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to vary directly means to increase as it increases as x gets bigger, y gets bigger; so there is some direct variance at play if the ratio between x and y is the same for each point; then you will know the constant of variation looks to be a ration of 8/11 = x/y y = (11/8)x 1.3 ... id go the 3rd option

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it took you that long to write wait no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2. For the data in the table, does y vary directly with x? If it does, write an equation for the direct variation. yes; y = 2x yes; y = 4x yes; y = 8x no; y does not vary directly with x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no; y does not vary directly with x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello you there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah one sec sorry had to cook hot water

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first one is the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for which one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the one on top

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and on the bottom is the 4th one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill wait

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

too blurry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that better for you?
