I need help with this question please I don't understand it at all.

Fill in the blank with the correct form of the verb using the passive voice.

There are two parts to the passive and therefore two blanks.

Los regalos ____ _______ (abrir) por la niña.

The verb you need to use is "abrir" which means ""to open."
Here you need the passive voice "ser abierto" meaning "to be opened."

The normal way of using abrir is as in the sentence:
"La niña abrio los regalos" = "The girl opened the presents."

Here they are looking for a different way of using the verb.
The passive form is "The presents were opened by the girl." instead of "The girl opened the presents."

Here, the subject is "los regalos" which is plural.
Also, instead of saying the past tense "opened", you must use the passive voice "were opened."

as said by mathstudent55, it will be the right form of "to be" verb followed by abierto/abiertos/abierta/abiertas depending on the gender and number of regalos.
1st blank - the gifts are : los regalos son (3rd pl.)
2nd blank - abiertos because of "regalos" (pl., masc.) [it USUALLY rimes, but I wouldn't say that it's always the case]
