How many solutions are there to the equation 12x+32=12x-7

OpenStudy (souvik):

get the x terms in one side and the numerical terms in other side...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12x+32=12x-7 since it is a a linear eq in one variable, therefore it will have only one solution.

OpenStudy (souvik):

is there 12x in both sides?

OpenStudy (uri):

Ya one is put the x terms at one side and all numerical terms at one side, and after equal to sign the sign changes...other way is subracting from both sides.

OpenStudy (souvik):

there is no solution

OpenStudy (uri):

I was saying in general :P
