How can I find the derivative f(x)=7? I have only worked with derivatives with quadratic functions.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when does 7 change?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a derivative defines a rate of change with respect to some element something that is constant is just not changing. Its rate of change is 0

OpenStudy (amistre64):

how fast is a parked car moving?

That totally makes sense. Thank you. This is a problem in my text book and the instructions say: "Find the derivative by the limit process" and the first problem is: f(x)=0.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

:) if we do the limit process we can run into some technical issues

Great. This is such a cool website...I just found it...thanks!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good luck :)
