Replace the x with -3. What is (-3)^-2 ?

This is the relationship you should become familiar with: \[x^{-y} = \frac{ 1 }{ x^y }\]When you have a negative exponent, you put a 1 over it, and make the exponent positive. So (-3)^(-2} will be equal to: \[\frac{ 1 }{ (-3)^{2} } = ?\]
Ok... Thanks I understand a little bit better
