x^2-15x-100 (x )(x ) thats all i know so far

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Muffinator sorry that was an accident typing to fast

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think i have to find the factors of 100?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so when you factor, the middle number is how much the two add up to. The last number is how much they multiply into.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait what

OpenStudy (uri):

x^2-15x-100 x^2-20x+5x-100 x(x-20) +5(x-20) (x-20)(x+5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, I'm a poor explainer... lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol its ok your can explain by how @uri

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did

OpenStudy (uri):

We have to find a number which we add or subract is =15x and when we multiply them it should be equal to 100 So -15+5=-20 and 15x5=100.

OpenStudy (uri):

I meant 20x5*
