find the pattern. what is the next phase?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (magbak):

OK

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i would go with C but mostly because the answer is always C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow really?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

& no it's not always C

OpenStudy (magbak):

HE IS RIGHT IT IS MOSTLY C IT WILL NOT OPEN

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why not???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait does it not allow Word docs or something?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello?

OpenStudy (loser66):

I think it's C , too. look at this, http://&id=5515df64bb623906a2ec5fe/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I did put c anyways

OpenStudy (anonymous):

& the link won't work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok & this one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be A & B right?

OpenStudy (loser66):

@e.mccormick please....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what

OpenStudy (loser66):

I ask the person who master this problem. He will help you choose the right answer

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Those do not look like cleats....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know if that really matters... I mean, like its a shoe so I guess any sport that uses kicking???

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

No. In Soccer and Football you must wear cleats for the grass. But you NEVER wear cleats indoors.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I guess it is A & B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because they're the only ones that require them-- both require cleats so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since basketball definitely doesn't, right?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Look at my first post again....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea but there has to be an asnwer

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Sports on grass/dirt use cleats. Sports on wood/asphault do not use cleats. Those look like regular sneakers without cleats. The edge of the sole has tread, which is not what cleats have.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh so basketball

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yes.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

To be honest, those look like running shoes. It is not a great pic for any of the choices... but cleats are pretty obvious. http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Section_Id=1&Product_Id=12018445 http://www.sportchalet.com/product/301245_3141507.do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which of the following does not represent a pattern that repeats itself? A. changing of seasons B. wins and losses of a sports team C. day of the week garbage is collected D. rising and falling of the tides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or D?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

The tide is due to cycles, like the moon's position.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yes. Because a cycle in sports? I mean, other than Tour de France, where do you cycle in sports?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok &

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what's the missing word in this pattern? big,_____, little, six, microscopic, nine A. three B. invisible C. huge D. zero E. ninety

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm thinking B. huge

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or three

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Ummm... b is not huge. Hehe. If you think about it, it goes word, blank, word, number, word, number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so three

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I meant C. huge earlier :p

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Since the numbers don't match the words, yes, probably 3.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

btw u were wrong abt the sports question! I was right abt A &B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyways thanks

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Having played both soccer and football, I can say that those are the wrong shoes. I don't think they would be great for basektball, but they are wrong for the others. They looked like running shoes.
