Can anyone explain to me How to Use a Calculator for Trigonometry? For example tan^-1 (5/2) (answer: 1.19 rad) Thanks!

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Make certain that your calculator is set in radian more and not degrees. The enter 5/2 and push the inverse tangent button. (second function, tangent)

Thanks for your help! But how come I got the wrong answer? I got -0.747022297239.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Because you used the tangent button and not the inverse tangent button.
