does anyone know any clevers ways to remember the differences between stress and strain?

OpenStudy (shamim):

Stess is related with force Strain is related with length or area or vollume

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Stress is the load per unit area acting within a material. It can be thought of as the internal resistive response of a material to an externally applied pressure. Strain is the change in shape of an object in response to external pressure or internal stress

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you become strain u are weak so your appearence changes and remember that its change in shape and stress means remember press when you press anything you use force so stress is force or load per unit area
