jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sin(x) = -1 when x = 270 and this angle is coterminal to -90 degrees this is something you either memorize or use a unit circle to determine

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

here is a unit circle http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4c/Unit_circle_angles_color.svg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhh so It would be the other way around ?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes -90 and 270

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sin(x) = 1 when x = 90, so you just had the sign flipped

ohh okay thank you.!(:

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're welcome
