the ciricumference of a circle is 2pi inches.find its radius and area the area of the circle is _in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the radius would be 1 because since the formula for Cirucumference is \[ C= 2r \pi\] i see the only logical number for r is 1 since our C = 2pi now that we know the radius we can plug into the area formula \[A = \pi r^2\] i hope that this helped

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the area of the circle is _in ^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm then im not too sure if they are not asking you to use the area formula... sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it pi

OpenStudy (espex):

You need to use the equations given to you by @hobbs978, starting with the circumference formula, and solve for r, then you can solve your area.
