Solve these compound inequalities??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basically just solve for x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not exactly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sqrt{3x+9}<3\] before we begin we know \(3x+9\geq 0\) or \(x\geq -3\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you can square both sides and get \[3x+9<9\] making \[x<0\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solution will be \([-3,0)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just did this one and got the same solution! (:

@satellite73 the problem is asking me to put >,<, or <(or equal to), >(or equal to) so would it be x<(or equal to) 0?
