Two lines are perpendicular. The equation of the first line is y = 4x + 1. Which of the following cannot be the equation of the second line? A. y=-1/4x-2 B. x – 4y = –2 C. x + 4y = 2 D. 8y = –2x – 5

OpenStudy (lncognlto):

Which do you think? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its C

OpenStudy (lncognlto):

Its seems to be B, as B rearrange is y = -x/-4 or x/4, while C rearranged is y = -x/4, which is the gradient of the perpendicular.

oh okay make sense now thank you
