Which of the following relations is a function? Choose one answer. a. B = {(1,3), (1,5), (1,10)} b. C = {(3,4), (3,5)} c. D = {(5,1), (4,2), (5,2)} d. A = {(1,4), (2,5), (4,7)}

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

to be a function the x value can NOT be the same, so which one you think it is

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

right, u cannot have pairs like (a,b) and (a,c) with b and c different. so, for instance, C is not a function.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ahh so it would be d. because the x values are 1, 2, and 4?

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you!!

OpenStudy (ivettef365):
