hoose the graph of the function y = -tan 4x.

With the tan function, it is easiest to look where it is equal to zero. That will be where the numerator is in multiples of "pi" of "sine something" is 0 because the numerator is the sine function. Here, we are dealing with 4x, so we look at multiples of pi/4 being 0. And the shape will be opposite to the positive tan functions because here we have a negative sign. So, here, we have the 3rd one.
so its the 3rd one:)
Yes, that's correct! You know, you can always use an online graphing tool with these if you get stuck.
like wolfram?
I've never used wolfram, but I should try that sometime because I hear that's a great website. Sometimes I use fooplot.

fun fact
Cool! Another fun fact, but only for my family is that my brother is a big outdoors guy who sometimes wears a Sheldon t-shirt over long sleeves!
I guess my brother is a Sheldon wannabe! He'll never be Sheldon completely because he hates math. But we're all a little bit Sheldon somewhere!
