A pound of grass seed covers 120 square feet of lawn. How many pounds are needed to seed a lawn measuring 50 by 40 feet (2000 sq ft)?

=2000/120 =?

OpenStudy (nurali):

I think you just have to divide the new area(2000) by the old area(120 square feet) and there's your answer. Approximately 16.7 pounds of grass seed.
