Express this quadratic equation as the product of two binomials>>>>> y=4x^2-28x-32<<<<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so in order to express this equation as two binomals, you know you will end up with two brackets, generally (x+a)(x+b) Yet as your equation has 4x^2, you know that there isn't just going to be x's in the brackets, you are either going to have: (2x+a)(2x+b) OR (4x+a)(x+b) then i would suggest making a list of all the factors of 32, which you can combine to make 28 then plug these into your brackets have a go at that, then if you still can't get it, ask for some more help, but practice makes perfect with these problems Hope that helped!

i think you'll end up with a constant of 4 on the outside
