Okay; so you are given a function which is in the form A(x^2)+Bx+C=0 right? So in this case your A=5 B=-7 C=-3 then using the quadratic formula, which I'm not sure if you are familiar with you can use it to find 'x' So x=\[(-B \pm \sqrt{B^2-(4*A*C)})/2A\] Substitute in your values of A,B and C to find your two values of 'x'
